Wonderful place, one of those where you have to get out of the usual tourist area.Highly highly recommended, the food is spectacular, the octopus and shrimp pan is out of the ordinary, the best cachopo I have ever eaten, a luxury, and what can I say about rice pudding?? The best I've had in the area.I have to mention Lorenzo, he makes you feel at home, a wonderful person.The super cozy place.If you go to Oviedo, go without fail.

We came here by chance and it was a great success. The octopus frying pan, shrimp and the movie cachopo! Now there are few places where you walk through the door and you are one more, Lorenzo the owner is a machine. We have to repeat it.

We had a spectacular experience at Mesón El Viso in Oviedo. From the first moment, the cozy atmosphere and the attention of the owner made us feel at home. The treatment was friendly, close and professional, always attentive to making sure everything was perfect.As for the food, simply delicious. We started with some ham croquettes that were just right: crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside, with an intense ham flavor that we loved. Then we tried a pan of mushrooms, shrimp and ham, which surprised us with its well-balanced combination of flavors and soft texture. To finish, we ordered a serrano ham and cheese cachopo, with crusty bread and a generous filling of quality ingredients.The value for money is excellent, which makes the visit even more worthwhile.Without a doubt, a highly recommended place to enjoy homemade and well-prepared food in Oviedo. We will return without hesitation.

A traditional tavern with traditional products, which is appreciated these days.We had a cecina salad and a cachopo XL, both delicious.The owner's service is excellent; he's helpful and gave us great advice so we wouldn't overdo it.The atmosphere is pleasant, taking you back to another era.We'll definitely be back when we come to Oviedo again!

Really nice to have lunch or dinner. Small place with good prices and better food. Very helpful staff, they suggested lots of places off the beaten path to visit, as we were looking for non-touristy places.

Mesón el Viso is one of these neighbourhood bars that surprises you!!!We tried the salad with scampi, gulas, mushroom and Serrano ham, a serving of croquettes with compango (a mixture of ingredients of fabada) and pork wrapped with bacon.From the quality of the ingredients, the cooking and the quantity, we were not disappointed by any of them!Highly recommended if you will be staying in Oviedo.
